When going over the voter registration records in Nevada, the secretary of state’s office noticed something strange: Tony Romo had registered to vote in the state. So had Terrell Owens. So had dozens of players on the Dallas Cowboys’ roster.
That raised an obvious question: Why on earth would all these football players who live in Texas register to vote in Nevada?
The answer is that they hadn’t. Someone had engaged in voter fraud, sitting down with the Cowboys’ roster and entering most of the names into registration forms.
Now law enforcement authorities have raided an organization that registers low-income people to vote, accusing it of falsifying forms with players on the Cowboys and other names of people who aren’t really registered to vote in Nevada. Continue Reading
