The Cowboys are on their bye this weekend, and will use the extra time to regroup and get some key players healthy. Chief among them: quarterback Tony Romo, who injured the pinky finger on his throwing hand in an overtime loss to the Cardinals a month ago and has had to helplessly watch the dynamic duo of Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger commandeer Dallas to a 1-2 record in his absence.
That’s not entirely fair — the offense has been anemic, for sure, but the defense has been just as bad. But it looks like Romo will be ready to go when the team travels to Washington to face the Redskins on Nov. 16.
This must make fans very happy, particularly because at 5-4, the postseason isn’t an impossibility (though, currently occupying last place in the division muddles things a bit). Happier yet: Terrell Owens, who endured unmentionable horrors over the previous three games:Continue Reading
