Barber didn't travel last week to Pittsburgh because of a dislocated right pinkie toe and was limited in practice throughout the week. He looked as though he was moving OK while taking handoffs and short passes in pregame warmups.

Jacobs, the hard-running 264-pounder who leads the Giants with 1,002 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, didn't practice after he aggravated his injured left knee in last week's loss to Philadelphia. Derrick Ward replaced Jacobs as the starter.

Also out for the Giants were starting defensive tackle Fred Robbins because of a shoulder injury, and backup rookie linebacker Jonathan Goff (hamstring), who sat out for a third straight week.

Domenik Hixon, who has replaced suspended receiver Plaxico Burress in the starting lineup, was active despite practicing on a limited basis Friday because of foot and ankle injuries. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday and had been listed as questionable.

The Cowboys were without Montrae Holland (ankle), who had started the last two games after replacing Kyle Kosier in the starting lineup. Cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was out because of a herniated disk in his neck, sustained last week after his muffed punt in the first quarter, though he finished that game.

Rookie cornerback Mike Jenkins was back from a hamstring problem after missing Dallas' last two games.
