Officially, running back Marion Barber did not practice Thursday, but he made a little progress in his comeback from toe and calf injuries.
In the portion of practice open to the media, Barber went through individual drills and running plays with the offensive line. Tashard Choice, however, took the snaps with the first team.
On Wednesday, Barber went through on-field rehab but did not go through drills.
Coach Wade Phillips said Barber remains a game-time decision for Sunday against the New York Giants.
"He's still limping some, and that bothers me," Phillips said. "I think he ran straight ahead with no problem, but cutting could be a problem."
Tight end Jason Witten returned to practice on a limited basis and said he will play Sunday.
