EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. | New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress missed practice Thursday because of a hamstring injury.
Coach Tom Coughlin was short in discussing Burress' injury, saying time would tell whether Burress plays Sunday at Arizona.
Asked when Burress was injured, Coughlin said: "Just now. Overnight and into today."
Burress has 35 catches for 454 yards and four touchdowns, but his receptions have declined steadily since catching 15 passes in the first two games. The Green Run grad has caught no more than three passes in the last five games, grabbing a total of 13 for 137 yards and two TDs in that span.

RB JONES PLACED ON IR
IRVING, Texas | Rookie running back Felix Jones is done for the season.
The team said Thursday that Jones, one of Dallas' two first-round draft picks, will be placed on injured reserve because of a left big toe injury sustained while doing rehabilitation after hurting his left hamstring Oct.\12.
Jones returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, but the team now says that was to evaluate his ability to play with the toe injury. It is the first time the team confirmed Jones had a setback during rehab for the hamstring, which has healed.
Based on that practice and an evaluation by a foot and ankle specialist who reviewed an MRI of Jones' foot, the Cowboys decided Jones couldn't play again this season.
Jones rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns in his six games. He also returned 16 kickoffs, including a 98-yard TD.

WR GETS NEW CONTRACT
DAVIE, Fla. | Receiver Greg Camarillo's breakout year with the Miami Dolphins has earned him a new contract.
Camarillo's $6 million, three-year extension keeps him under contract through 2011. He leads the Dolphins with 49 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown after catching a total of eight passes in his first two NFL seasons.
Camarillo said he reported for training camp merely hoping to make the team, but he has started every game.

Quinn will try to play despite broken finger
BEREA, Ohio | Cleveland Browns QB Brady Quinn broke his right index finger in the first half of Monday night's win over Buffalo, but will try to play Sunday against the Houston Texans.
The team initially thought Quinn only bruised his hand after banging it on the helmet of a Bills player. But after he complained of soreness following Wednesday's practice, X-rays were taken and revealed a fracture on the tip of his finger.
GM APOLOGIZES FOR E-MAIL
BEREA, Ohio | Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage has apologized to a fan whom he sent a profane e-mail to following Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills.
Savage used an expletive in his response to the fan, who criticized the GM in several e-mail exchanges.
"It happened after the game," Savage in an e-mail to The Associated Press. "There had been previous e-mails from him over the months and enough was enough. We have both apologized to each other since."

WILLIAMSES ATTEND HEARING
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. | Minnesota's star defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams have gone before the NFL to discuss their positive test for a banned diuretic.
The Williamses were absent from practice Thursday to attend a hearing at the league office in New York. They face four-game suspensions if their appeal is denied. Angelo Wright, the agent for Pat Williams, believed it would be another week before they learn of the decision.
