--Defensive coordinator Brian Stewart has been fired after two seasons with the Cowboys. He followed coach Wade Phillips to Dallas after serving three years as San Diego's secondary coach.
--LT Flozell Adams has been added to the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement for Seattle's Walter Jones. Adams will be making his fifth Pro Bowl appearance, his third in a row and second straight start.
--RG Leonard Davis has pulled out of the Pro Bowl to nurse a foot injury he suffered during the season. It was Davis' second Pro Bowl selection.
Joining Adams in Hawaii are TE Jason Witten and C Andre Gurode, who will start for the NFC on offense. NT Jay Ratliff and LB DeMarcus Ware are also starters for the NFC.
--LB Anthony Spencer gave the Cowboys their first black eye of the offseason when he was arrested early Jan. 11 on suspicion of public intoxication and disorderly conduct in Indianapolis.
Spencer and his friend, Matthew Millhouse, were thrown out of the Have A Nice Day Cafe after initially refusing to leave when the club closed, according to Indianapolis police. Spencer allegedly offered to pay for the establishment to remain open past 3 a.m. when it was required to close by law.
According to the police report, Spencer tried to punch a bouncer. Spencer was released without bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.
Spencer, 24, played college football at Purdue and hails from Fort Wayne, Ind.
The arrest puts Spencer in the crosshairs of the league's personal conduct policy, which could result in a fine or suspension.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "The off-the-field behavior, that's over with, man. I have one court case in March and I'm back to what I love doing most, playing football. I think I'll be playing football next year. If I had to pick somewhere, I think I might be back in Dallas. I love Dallas. I wouldn't mind playing nowhere else, but I do love the Cowboys." -- CB Adam "Pacman" Jones, on his NFL future after being cut by the Cowboys.
