--The Cowboys are opening a new stadium next year and although they remain in negotiations with a company for a naming rights deal, the stadium may open next year without a title sponsor. The recession has limited the Cowboys options and may simply be called the new Cowboys stadium until further notice.
--Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said linebacker Anthony Spencer will be disciplined by the league for his offseason arrest for drunk and disorderly conduct.
--Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team will not replace fired defensive coordinator Brian Stewart. Coach Wade Phillips will take on the duties as head coach and defensive coordinator.
