--OG Joe Berger was never a factor in the guard rotation. He's unlikely to be resigned.

--QB Brooks Bollinger will be brought back to battle for the backup job but will get competition.

--LB Kevin Burnett will test the market. The Cowboys don't know if he is a fulltime player or niche third-down guy.

--DE Chris Canty wants big money and will likely not get it in Dallas. The Cowboys are going to let him test the market to see what he can get. He will only be back if he agrees to a reasonable deal.

--S Keith Davis wants to come back and the Cowboys want him back. Money won't be an issue.

--DT Tank Johnson walked off the field in Philadelphia saying "I'm a free agent." The Cowboys will likely let him keep walking.

--LB Carlos Polk was a good special teams addition. Will likely be resigned to minimum deal and brought to camp.

--LB Zach Thomas will look for a better fit. And the Cowboys will likely try to get younger unless they can get Ray Lewis.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

--WR Miles Austin showed enough flashes to earn a $1.45 million second-round tender.

--DE Stephen Bowen will be brought back as insurance for Chris Canty.

--TE Tony Curtis will get the minimum tender and offered a chance to return but he has yet to distinguish himself.

--WR Sam Hurd was missed on special teams and but he could be squeezed out by the addition of Roy Williams.

--OG Cory Procter got an opportunity to play in 2008 but did not to cement himself as a future starter. Will get minimum tender to return

EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS FREE AGENTS

--RB Alonzo Coleman will certainly be brought to camp but the logjam at running back is pretty thick.

--TE Rodney Hannah showed some flashes at the end of the season and will finally get a chance to push out Tony Curtis as the third tight end.

--P Sam Paulescu will be brought to camp for practice purposes but this is Mat McBriar's job.
