The NFL's all-time leading rusher and receiver will be eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next year.
Former Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith and former receiving great Jerry Rice, whose playing days ended in 2004, are expected to be locks for the Class of 2010.
Smith holds the NFL record for career rushing yards with 18,355 and won three Super Bowls with the Cowboys in the 1990s.
Rice holds NFL records for career receptions (1,549), receiving yards (22,895) and TD receptions (197). He won three Super Bowls with the 49ers.
