According to a report in the Dallas Morning News, injured Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo won't start in today's game with the St. Louis Rams, but he will be on the team's active roster.
Brad Johnson will get the nod, not to mention his first start since 2006. Meanwhile, Romo's consecutive-starts streak will end at 32.
The report said it was unclear whether Romo will be the backup or the third quarterback behind Brooks Bollinger.
Romo was initially expected to miss four weeks with a fractured pinky, but he practiced Wednesday with a special splint on the finger, giving rise to the possibility that he could play through the injury.
However, he only took a few snaps on Thursday and did not practice at all on Friday.
