
Spencer to be guest on Cowboys show
EL PASO -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Anthony Spencer will be the guest on this week's "First and Goal" radio show, broadcast live from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday on KROD-AM (600) from the Three Legged Monkey bar, 1550 Hawkins.
Spencer will join teammate and show host Stephen Bowen and KROD "Sportstalk" host Steve Kaplowitz
There is no cover charge.
Jackson honored: UTEP senior guard Stefon Jackson was chosen as Conference USA's Player of the Week on Monday for his performance in the Miners' 83-72 victory over Sam Houston State this weekend.
Jackson posted the eighth 30-point game of his career, leading UTEP past the Bearkats on Saturday.
McCoy to stay: Texas quarterback Colt McCoy confirmed that he'll return to the Longhorns for his senior season in 2009.
McCoy has led No. 3 Texas (11-1) to a Fiesta Bowl matchup against Ohio State with 3,445 yards passing and 32 touchdowns, both team records. "I'm not going anywhere," McCoy said in an interview published Monday on the Austin American-Statesman's Web site.
